New waste scheme from October 2024 has significantly improved recycling

Bornholm's citizens and visitors are very good at sorting their waste.

Below you can see the amount of residual waste collected from households and environments.

To make the figures more comparable, we have taken the waste volumes from the last quarter of 2022 to the last quarter of 2024.

As the table shows, the amount of residual waste collected and incinerated has more than halved in the last quarter, 2024
