Drop off waste around the clock at BOFA's three 24-hour recycling centres
BOFA's recycling centres in Nexø, Aakirkeby and Olsker are now open 24 hours a day, so you can drop off waste when it suits you.
Both commercial customers and private citizens can use the 24-hour recycling centres at no extra cost.
To take advantage of this offer, you must register as a user of BOFA's 24-hour service:
Once you are created as a user, you will receive a confirmation email within a week. This email contains your final enrolment in the scheme.
Please note that it is only possible to use the 24-hour recycling centres outside normal opening hours once you have received the above email!
When you park in front of the gate to the recycling centre, call the relevant phone number from your registered mobile phone:
24-hour neighbourhoods in Nexø call with your mobile phone to 61 15 17 97
24-hour Aakirkeby call with your mobile phone to 30 66 58 85
24-hour Olsker call with your mobile phone to 51 41 13 82
Outside normal opening hours, please note the following:
- The seats are unmanned.
- The pitches are video monitored.
- Access to the seats is via the mobile phone number registered to the scheme. Remember to switch on "Show number" on your phone.
- Oil and chemicals (hazardous waste) are not accepted.
- The compactor containers are closed for safety reasons - use the alternative containers.
- The pitches' rules of behaviour must be followed at all times.
- In emergencies, you can use the site's emergency contact phone located at the automatic gate.
- In the event of a power cut etc. the recycling centre side gate can be opened manually. Use the locking knob. Please close the side gate after exiting.
Staff have gone home - waste sorting still applies.
BOFA works to operate recycling centres in an environmentally and economically sound manner. In order to protect the environment, it is important that waste is sorted correctly - even outside staff opening hours.
You can find guidance for correct sorting in BOFA's Sorting guide. Alternatively, you can scan the QR codes posted at the site to get more information about the different types of waste.
When you need to get started!
Once you have received an email from BOFA with the relevant phone numbers, you are ready to visit the site.
- Drive to the space you want to access. When you are in front of the gate, call the relevant phone number from your registered mobile phone (remember to have "Show number" enabled on your phone).
- The gate opens automatically when your call is detected. Drive in and make your drop-off.
- When you're done, drive to the gate again. The gate will open automatically and you can drive out. At the gate you will find a sign with further instructions if needed.
The door closes automatically on both entry and exit.
Thanks for your efforts and have a great trip!
