Enjoy your holiday

BOFA takes the rubbish. Even when you're on holiday.

Here you'll find addresses and opening hours of recycling centres and environments.

When you're on holiday on Bornholm, you'll probably have to drop off your waste at a communal collection point, a so-called MiljØ.

Check out the images below for a quick overview of how to best prepare your waste for communal collection (click on an image to open a larger, more readable version).

Please note that the materials are not translated from Danish. However, they are available in an English version here and a German version here.

In the sorting guides above you will find examples of what to sort into the different waste types. Need more information? Visit BOFA's online Sorting guide.

Printed sorting guides on Danish can be picked up for free at BOFA's reception in Rønne during staffed opening hours. Please note that this offer is valid while stocks last.

Thank you for recycling

Dear holiday home user on Bornholm.

BOFA appreciates that you sort your waste and deliver it to the right places.

In the holiday home areas we have set up shared collection points, which we call environments. Here you can easily drop off the following types of waste: food waste, plastic, food & drink cartons, glass, metal, paper, cardboard, textile waste and residual waste, as well as small batteries and small electronics.

Remember that the waste must be small enough to be placed loosely in the recycling centres. If the waste is too large, please take it to one of our six recycling centres.

At the recycling centres you can drop off all the waste that cannot be disposed of at the recycling centres. This includes hazardous waste such as empty spray cans and household chemicals.

BOFA appreciates your help in sorting waste correctly. Your efforts make a difference for both the environment and our shared resources.
