Private waste tariffs 2025

Bornholm's municipal council has decided that waste tariffs should be linked to the type of housing and not to the waste solution itself.

Below you can see the waste rates for the different types of housing on Bornholm.

Collection/handling of Residual waste
Combustion of Residual waste incl. tax to the government

Notes:
Properties without a residence obligation are considered year-round properties for residual waste.

Environmental tax for year-round houses Includes:

Access to recycling centres.
Collection/management of waste types other than Residual wasteincluding composting, garden waste, recycled paper, landfill and sorting facilities in Vestermarie, including disposal of recyclable fractions.
Emptying bottle bells.
Collection/handling of Bulky waste.

Holiday homes:

Household waste collection fee for holiday homes covers the cost of:

Collection/handling of Residual waste By Environments.
Incineration tax for the incineration of Residual waste Collected by Environments.
Maintenance of Environments.

Environmental tax for holiday homes Includes:

Access to recycling centres.
Collection/management of all types of waste other than residual waste collected at Environments including recycled paper, landfill and sorting facilities in Vestermarie, including disposal of reusable fractions.

Notes:
Holiday home areas are not covered by the bulky waste scheme. Contact BOFA for more information.

Notes:
This scheme applies to not for year-round stands and holiday homes located in cottage areas.
