BOFA participates in HEPHAESTUS, a 4 million euro EU project, where BOFA receives approx. 326,000.00 euro (approx. 2.4 million DKK) for their part

HEPHAESTUS-The project is about revitalising and rethinking traditional crafts, such as glassblowing and the production of ceramics, stoneware and porcelain, through innovation and adaptation. This is done by combining new technologies with traditional methods across European craft ecosystems. This is done to create new solutions in terms of tools, methods and sustainable business models, in addition to shaping visions for the future of crafts in the circular economy.

This should first and foremost safeguard European traditional crafts, but also contribute to a socially, culturally, environmentally and economically sustainable future.

BOFA shall establish a Future of Craft Green Living Lab on Bornholm, where different solutions will be tested with the principles of circular economy: reuse, product life extension, efficient use of resources and low environmental impact.

HEPHAESTUS is a 4-year project that ends in summer 2027.
