One Textile Direction
BOFA was involved in the project One Textile Direction - a national project on textile management and circular economy. The aim of the project was to establish new solutions for sustainable and circular design, procurement, use and recycling of textiles in the household, public and private sectors. The vision of the project was to strengthen Denmark's position as a textile and design nation and to make Denmark one of the leading countries with a circular textile industry. In order to achieve this vision, there is a need for a Danish value chain in collecting, sorting and recycling textiles. BOFA was involved in the project and participated in the work with a special focus on developing solutions for handling and collecting the textile waste fraction.
BOFA participated in a kick-off meeting in Aarhus on 6 December 2022. Together with 19 other stakeholders, BOFA would help place Denmark at the top among countries with a circular textile industry.
