BOFA participates in REDOL, a 17 million euro EU project

The project is about making the Spanish city of Zaragoza a climate-neutral city by 2030 based on better waste management. BOFA's role is to be one of three test sites where new technologies are trialled.

BOFA participated in the kick-off meeting in Zaragoza on 18-19 January 2023. The experiences from REDOL will help make Europe waste-free. The project participants are 36 organisations from 12 different countries. All participants work with circular economy and waste, but in different ways - for example, there are universities, waste companies and private companies.

The project promotes the circular economy in cities by rethinking the lifecycle of five waste types (packaging, plastics, construction waste, textiles and WEEE) and implementing new solutions for waste collection, sorting and management.

REDOL is a 4-year project that ends in November 2026.
